Michael Petrsuka Jr. Memorial Park AnniversaryAt the young age of 24, Michael Petruska Jr.’s life was cut short in a tragic airplane accident. His father was a prominent business and he dedicated 11 acres on which the park stands on in memory of his son. This memorial is held annually on 3rd July and attracts crowds far and wide from Paramus. The park is a reminder of a father’s intense love for his progeny than the tragic event than snuffed Michael’s life.
Paramus Shredding EventThis event is one in a list of many that are dedicated to ensuring that the environment is protected. Paramus residents know that we only have one Earth and they must do their part to protect it. This event is held every April at the Recycling Center from 9.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. However, there is a limit to the number of bags one can shred, only five bags or box. Also, no plastic bags are allowed.

They include meet and greets where the officers interact with the community which they are supposed to protect and the community gets up-close and personal with the brave men and women who ‘stand at the gates’. Other activities you can enjoy during this event include live music, giveaways, ball throws, and bouncing castles. The musical acts vary from year to year and you’re guaranteed a new sound every year. It takes place every year at the Paramus Public Library.
